Scootering - Home
Scootering is a fabulous solution for small sled dog teams. Most medium/large breeds can pull a scooter. There is a range of dog scooters on the market such as Pawtrekker, Cudos and Dax - so make sure you shop around for one that suits you. Scooters are generally used for 1-2 dogs and has a similar set up to a sled team. The equipment you'll need is:
- A single or double gangline with shockabsorber and carabiner to hook the dogs up. You'll also find a neckline helpful if you have two dogs in "lead" position.
- A Pulling harness - usually a traditional X-back style harness unless the attachment point is higher than normal in which case a shoulder harness can be used.
We would strongly recommend the use of a helmet in this sport.
